Here’s how it works.

  • Click on The Challenge above to record your daily steps.
  • Each day you record at least 10,000 steps, your name will be entered into a prize drawing.*
  • Reach 10,000 steps by walking, running, playing sports and even completing everyday activities at home and work.
  • Use the Step Conversion Calculator and your pedometer to help keep track of your steps.

*This award is taxable per IRS guidelines. Michaels will pay the taxes on your behalf and the dollar amount of the award will be included in your earnings for 2013.
Note: Temporary and seasonal associates aren't able to participate in The Challenge through the website but are encouraged to get active.

Store Associates

  • Your store is your team.
  • Work with your Store
    Manager to select a Team
    Captain and a team name.
  • The selected Team Captain can click on the My Team graphic to the right by January 10 to set up the team for your store.

Non-Store Associates

  • Want to be a Team Captain? Click on the My Team graphic and create your own team. Teams must be created by January 10.
  • Want to join a team? Check your invitations to see if you have been invited to join a team. If not, go ahead — create your own!
